I was a competitive swimmer until the age of 18. I trained every day, and despite the intensity, I loved it.

What I enjoy most about teaching is working with children and their spontaneity—seeing them grow and gain self-confidence. I have been doing this with pleasure for over 20 years. My motto is: if you no longer enjoy it, you should stop, because otherwise you can't truly teach children—they can feel it when you no longer enjoy what you do. And when they stand there with their diploma, I am proud of what they have achieved.

Teaching swimming turned out to be my calling. It has been deeply healing for me.

I personally started at the age of 33 with Level 1, and one year later—after completing the ABC diplomas—I began teaching as an assistant instructor. After 26 years of teaching, I still teach with passion and love. Every lesson, I look through the eyes of my students, and it always feels new and exciting. When I can no longer do that (or because of old age 😅), I will stop teaching.

During the COVID period, I was unemployed at home as a music teacher. I love swimming, which is why I decided to start training as a swimming instructor.

Teaching is always a challenge, and it's wonderful to see how students improve over time.

Since 2022, I've been infected with the triathlon virus! What started as a challenge grew into a passion for the connection that sport creates. I truly believe you are capable of far more than you think. My mission? To show you that the water is not your enemy, but a place where you can move through with confidence and joy. Let's push those boundaries together!

I have been practicing synchronized swimming for 4–5 years and train weekly. In addition, I also coach young girls as well as adults who want to learn and master this sport.

What I love about swimming is the freedom of movement it offers. What I enjoy about teaching is being able to help others learn this sport and find joy in it. If I can teach them that, then I have achieved my goal :)

Swimming is my favourite sport, as a child I spent a lot of time in the swimming pool while diving, playing or just swimming with my mom. Working with children, supporting and coordinating them, is another skill that I developed and gives a lot of positive feedback. I like the interaction and dynamic which makes me assertive.
