General Terms and Conditions
Article 1 - General
These general terms and conditions apply to all services provided by DREAMSSS (Chamber of Commerce no. 94795460) to you as a student or parent/guardian of the child enrolled in the swim program starting in the 2025/2026 swim school year. These terms form a legally binding agreement between DREAMSSS and the participant (or their parent/guardian).
Article 2 - Registration and Payment
2.1 Thank you for registering for the swim course. Your registration will be processed after the course fee has been paid and the registration form has been submitted. The amount of the course fee is stated in the email you receive from the DREAMSSS coordinator. DREAMSSS charges a one-time registration fee for new students.
2.2 Payment must be made via bank transfer (bank account details will be listed on the invoice) or in cash to the DREAMSSS coordinator. If payment is not received on time, participation in swim lessons and (final) exams is not permitted.
2.3 Cancellations of lessons must be submitted in writing not less than 24 hours in advance. For private/semi-private lessons, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. No make-up lessons will be provided for late cancellations. If the cancellation is on time, a make-up lesson can be arranged without a guarantee on a different available date and time, up to a maximum of two times per swim period.
Article 3 - Duration of Swim Periods
3.1 The full swim school year runs from 06.09.2025 to 04.07.2026.
- The first group swim period runs from 06.09.2025 to 31.01.2026 (19 lessons).
- The second group swim period runs from 07.02.2026 to 04.07.2026 (19 lessons).
It is also possible to follow a shorter swim period, but only if this has been agreed with DREAMSSS prior to the start of the first lesson. Early termination is not possible due to advance reservations for pool time.
3.2 A private/semi-private swim period consists of 15 lessons.
3.3 Students may enroll at any time during the swim school year. Without timely cancellation (one-month notice), the student will be automatically enrolled in the next swim period.
Cancellation must be done via email sent to: dreamsss4u@gmail.com
In urgent matters by phone at: +31 634 27 67 20.
Lessons (including private/semi-private lessons with max. 4 students) take place in the instructional pool, recreational pool, or competition pool on Saturday at the Sloterparkbad.
Holiday dates on which lessons are canceled will be communicated in advance. These lessons will not be charged.
3.4 On some weekends, the competition pool may not be available due to (national) swimming championships. These lessons will be rescheduled for another time on Saturday or transferred to another period. You will receive timely notice by email from the swim school coordinator.
Article 4 - Cancellation
4.1 Cancellation of a reserved swim period during the course is only permitted in exceptional cases (e.g., long-term illness), subject to approval by DREAMSSS. Early termination is not possible due to prior pool reservations.
4.2 Refunds are not guaranteed and are only granted at the sole discretion of DREAMSSS. Make-up lessons can be arranged if DREAMSSS is notified in time; see Article 2.3.
Article 5 - Swimming Exams
5.1 Students may participate in exams for diplomas A, B, C, or the Swim Proficiency certificate only when they meet all the required criteria.
These requirements are jointly assessed by the swim school owner and the relevant instructor.
Swimming exams are organized in accordance with the standards of the nationally recognized institute ENVOZ and take place in an appropriate swimming facility that meets the required standards.
We cannot guarantee the number of lessons needed for a student to meet the requirements, so no diploma guarantee can be offered for a specific number of lessons.
Article 6 - Safety and House Rules
6.1 For safety reasons, house rules at the respective location must be followed. These can be found on our website under "About Us." This section also explains when responsibility for the child transfers between the parent/guardian and DREAMSSS instructors before, during, and after lessons.
Parents/guardians are responsible for the child inside and outside the swimming facility before and after lessons.
6.2 The enrolling student or parent/guardian must always follow the instructions of DREAMSSS staff.
6.3 DREAMSSS, in line with the swimming industry, strives to maintain an environment free of unwanted conduct, including but not limited to inappropriate physical or verbal behavior.
In such situations, support can be sought from the National Trust Point for Sports (NOC*NSF). More information is available on our website under "About Us."
Article 7 - Liability
7.1 DREAMSSS is never liable for direct or indirect damage suffered by the student during participation unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of DREAMSSS.
7.2 DREAMSSS is not liable for damage due to loss, theft, misplacement, or damage of personal belongings.
7.3 DREAMSSS is not liable for personal injury unless caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct on its part.
7.4 The student or their guardian is liable for any damage caused to the facility during use due to their actions.
Article 8 - Data Protection
8.1 DREAMSSS processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
These data are used only for the execution of swim lessons and are not shared with third parties.
8.2 Photos, videos, or TV recordings of students may be taken during lessons or special events like diploma swimming. These may be used on our website, Facebook page, or in our publications.
If you object, please indicate this in writing during registration.
Article 9 - Other Provisions
9.1 Management reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. You will be informed of any changes in a timely manner.
9.2 DREAMSSS may terminate the agreement with immediate effect in the case of:
- Specific demands that DREAMSSS cannot meet
- Inappropriate behavior (threatening, humiliating, or intimidating)
9.3 If the general terms and conditions of DREAMSSS are not followed, DREAMSSS reserves the right to discontinue participation immediately.
Article 10 - Feedback and Complaints
10.1 DREAMSSS encourages open communication.
For questions, suggestions, comments, complaints, or issues, please contact the swim location coordinator.
10.2 If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may report it via email to:
We aim to respond to complaints within 14 days.
Article 11 - Final Provision
